Hi honeys! I’m Georgie.
A few titbits, about me.
I'm in my early 40’s, living in Preston Naarm with my fam bam, my son Huxley, and my partner Ged
Fun fact: Ged is also my initials, which spells out my initials
I worked in hospitality from the age of 17 up until I became a birth doula in 2017
In 2018, I had my son, and after having my own experience of postpartum, I felt a strong pull also to become a postpartum doula.
I have lived in Naarm since I was 21, but I’m originally from Brissy, where my mumma bought me and my sister up as a solo parent
I went to a Steiner primary school, which was magical
my mumma is Swiss, so I have a strong connection to the Yodlers
Im a HSP ( highly sensative person traits) and these traits are so helpful in how i support.
could live in the water!! It’s my calm, happy place, and also, a long shower is my thinking space,
Obsessed with clouds. Fun fact: I have a group of friends who do, too, and we have a group chat where we share pics of clouds
What fills my cup - my friends and community
Obsessed with nature in all forms
My medicine - food. It’s my love language. I love Eating and cooking it ( unless it’s meal refusal #100 from the Hux), then maybe not as much
I love to make beach collections of things I find. I will never leave a beach without doing one. It's my Favorite Mindful act.
yes, I’m also one of those people who also lurve Christmas
I love and probably do a bit too much op shopping
What I love to watch - RuPaul Drag Race (I wonderfully seem to attract mummas to support who do too), Alone, Sex education, or a great doco
Podcast - all things postpartum and birth, Feel better more- Esther Perell
Laughter, joy and silliness.
I have struggled with anxiety for most of my life but have loved the transformation, identity shift, self-parenting, self-awareness and exploration that has come with becoming a mother.
I feel lucky to have had an excellent start to motherhood, which I attribute to my partner having the first 8weeks off and a beautiful mothers' group connection and experiences. It most certainly had some rough parts, but it wasn't until my overwhelm, postnatal depletion, and anxiety cropped up that it got really tough.
I'm bit of a doula nerd when it comes to baby brain, matresence and perimenopause.
Fancy dress. I think clothes are one of my creative outlets
And if I could, I would go dancing more! I love an outdoor festival, a kitchen boogie, or, as I used to, a nightclub floor.
My Values
-
I'll help you grow your confidence and connect with your mumma intuition, provide support as you learn, and encouragement as you ‘trial and error’, as learning to parent is all about experiential learning – the only way to know what's right for you and bub is by trying. So, I'm here to nurture you as you do.
A deep listening ear for you to debrief, cry, laugh, swear all the feels out and hold space for you with reassurance, validation and never a smidge of judgment. You do you boo, and I got you, however, you are!
-
As big and transformative as this time is, there is always space for joy, laughter, lightness, and silliness. Finding pockets of joy to sprinkle in throughout the days and periods of big, tough stuff is just as important as the deep, raw, and weighty stuff.
I'm here to be your joy-bringing hype gal and your nurturing, deep-listening gal. I'm here to explore what sparks joy for YOU and gently weave this into our time together. I'm also here to find ways you can keep those pockets of joy and self-care in your weeks when I'm not around. I'm here to bring in smiles and laughter. But don't worry – I'm here for all the tears and rage, too.
-
Feeling connected, truly seen and heard, feeling less alone, and feeling comfy being who you are, as you are, are all massively important in how I show up for you.
So, creating a comfy bond with each other is key. It also includes collaborative care and focusing on connecting you to a village you truly feel will hold you the way you want to be held.

Life as a mumma or parent is full of, well, basically everything! ALL THE THINGS! Big, small, weird, complicated, joyful, confusing, overwhelming, heart-melting, heartbreaking, frustrating, hilarious. We can sit with two completely opposing emotions simultaneously, the house can feel chaotic, we live moment to moment at times, and there are many moving parts.
How I show up for you is also about filling in the gaps and cracks of a day, creating practical support to ease the load and working out ways that life will flow a little more fluidly when I am not around so you can have times where you can float instead of the doggy paddle through the murky waters. I’m a big believer that if you are are someone like me, who gets affected by your space emotionally, having support to create more flow and a sense of ease or calm (even if it’s just one sacred area of the house) can do worlds of good in supporting a heightened nervous system, feelings of overwhelm and overstimulation.
-
Matrescense.
The becoming of a mother is such a profound transitional time. Both emotionally and physically. There is so much to be celebrated, so much to explore and learn that our society hasn’t yet, but I'm here to share this with you so you feel less invalidated and more empowered.
How I Nurture
Each session of support is a reflection and response to how you are feeling and what you want to feel that day. My focus will be on what needs to happen while I’m there so you can feel that, and what needs to get done to create more time for you to bond, heal and rest, not only while I’m there, but also when I’m gone.
